Tsamaea hantle Lesotho!!
Not the post I had intended to write but life got in the way. If you haven’t heard, because of COVID-19 all Peace Corps volunteers globally are being evacuated back to the USA. So off we go.
Three days ago I packed my life in bags in two hours, said hurried farewells to the friends and family in my village, and left. I abandoned the life I had made in the space of three hours. Now I am with the rest of the volunteers on a bus heading to the airport. Emotions are high and no one has had a lot of sleep. I am sad to be leaving unexpectedly, especially since it’s unlikely that I will ever return as a volunteer. I will miss many things and many people.
One chapter of this grand adventure is ending. The next two days of travel will be a new kind of adventure. Stay healthy everyone.
Goodbye Lesotho!

Sad to hear you had to leave. I have so enjoyed your stories, posts and pictures. What a fantastic experience you have had and what great stories you will bring home. “Once in a lifetime”
